MPs to debate the future of legal aid

The Backbench Business Committee have selected a debate on the
future of legal aid to be held in Westminster Hall on Thursday,
November 1st. It is scheduled to start at 1.30pm and can last for a
maximum of 3 hours. Labour MP Andy Slaughter and Lib Dem Alastair
Carmichael were jointly awarded the debate. Other MPs will be able
to contribute and a response to the debate will be given by a
