There were 14,521 knife crime offences in London in the year to
January 2018, compared to 11,416 in the year to January
2017. That’s a 27 per cent rise. Following the Mayor’s
decision to increase the police precept element of council tax, £15
million will be allocated to the Metropolitan Police to tackle
