Minutes of APPG meeting on fundraising regulation

Last week the APPG on Charities and Volunteering met to look at whether new fundraising regulations have improved fundraising practices. The group heard from:

• Stephen Dunmore, chief executive of the Fundraising Regulator
• Peter Lewis, chief executive of the Institute of Fundraising
• Melanie Sallis, head of supporter marketing at the Woodland Trust
• Lydia Thomas, producer of BBC R4’s recent investigation into charities trading personal details, Selling Barbara
