Justice committee to hold session on the work of the MoJ

The Justice Committee will hold an evidence session on The work of the Ministry of Justice on Wednesday 25 October 2017 at 10.00am (Committee Room 8).

The Committee will examine a range of subjects relating to the work and performance of the Ministry of Justice, including:

• ·         The Secretary of State’s vision for the Department;
• ·         Prisons, including their population, safety and  staffing;
• ·         Probation, including the Government’s Transforming Rehabilitation programme;
• ·         Legal Aid;
• ·         Courts;
• ·         Brexit; and
• ·         Financing of the Department, based on the Ministry’s 2016–17 Annual Report and Accounts.
