Met Commissioner questioned on rising crime and falling funds

Crime is increasing in London. The number of total notable offences
rose by almost 20 percent between 2014-15 and the start of
2017-18[1]. The Met needs to save an extra £185 million, even after
back-office savings have been made[2]. The police pay rise adds an
extra £11 million[3] and terror incidents in the last year
have created additional costs. The London Bridge incident alone
