Draft Domestic Gas and Electricity (Tariff Cap) Bill published

This paper, laid in Parliament on Thursday 12 October 2017, includes the draft Domestic Gas and Electricity (Tariff Cap) Bill, and the explanatory notes that accompany it.

The draft Bill details the provisions for providing Ofgem with a power and a duty to impose a tariff cap on domestic standard variable tariffs (SVTs) and default tariffs, with some exemptions.
