"Getting the labour market ready for brexit" - Lords committee to report

On Friday 21 July 2017 the House of Lords Economic Affairs Committee will publish its report, Brexit and the Labour Market. 

The report examines the impact on businesses and employees of a reduction in net migration. The topics the Committee has considered evidence on include:

• Does the Government have adequate information on the number and characteristics of immigrant workers on which future policy can be based?
• Which sectors are most reliant on EU migration?
• How can the government help businesses adapt to lower immigration?
• Is there a case for regional variation in immigration policy?
• What is the future of any short-term net migration target?

The report will be embargoed until 00:01 on Friday 21 July 2017, but copies of the report will be available to the media under embargo on Thursday 20 July 2017.
