Conservative response to IFS report on 16-18 education

Responding to the IFS report on parties’ plans for 16-18 education, a Conservative spokesman said:

“We will invest in the next generation so that people growing up in Britain are ready and able to seize the opportunities from Brexit, by continuing our school reforms so everyone gets the education they need and revolutionising skills training.

“In contrast Jeremy Corbyn is promising magic money tree giveaways that he will never be able to pay for because he would crash the economy.

“But we can only invest in the next generation if we get Brexit right, and only Theresa May has the plan and the ability to get a good deal for Britain in negotiations with the EU which start 11 days after polling day.”
