Home Secretary to be questioned by Lords Committee

Tomorrow the House of Lords Justice and Home Affairs Committee will be questioning the Home Secretary, the Rt Hon Shabana Mahmood MP.    

Themes the session will cover include: 

• Home Office budget; 

• The Police Reform Bill and facial recognition; 

• Tackling crime in rural areas and local high streets; 

• Reducing knife crime; 

• Fairer Pathway to Settlement proposals;  

• Immigration data; 

• Reform to the Life in the UK test; 

• The Immigration and Asylum Bill; 

• The use of asylum hotels; 

• Disruption caused at European borders by the introduction of the Entry Exit System. 

The session will take place at 2pm on Tuesday 7 July in Committee room 3, Palace of Westminster and can also be watched live on Parliament TV.
