The House of Lords Industry and Regulators Committee continues
its inquiry into the relationship between the Government and the
defence industry on Tuesday 7 July 2026 by
hearing from new technology specialists and prime contractor
QinetiQ.
The session will begin at 11am and can be followed live or
afterwards on Parliament
TV or in person in Committee Room 3, Palace
of Westminster.
At 11am the Committee will hear from:

Maund,
Founder and CEO, Hellios;
- Grace Cassy,
Partner, Ten Eleven Ventures.
Members are expected to ask questions on:
- cultural and practical changes required for the Government
and industry to work in partnership with supply chain companies;
- procurement processes and contracts;
- support needed by supply chains to increase capacity if
required;
- how the Ministry of Defence can support and promote
innovation and growth.
At approximately 11:45am, the Committee will hear from:
- Simon Galt,
Managing Director, Air, QinetiQ.
Members are expected to ask questions on:
- providing testing and evaluation capacity;
- fostering more collaborative and constructive relationships
with supply chains;
- how the MoD and defence contractors should ensure that their
supply chains are secure and reliable;
- working with local and devolved authorities on Defence Growth
Deals.
