On Wednesday 1 July the House of Lords Northern Ireland
Scrutiny Committee will hear from Northern Ireland Human
Rights Commission as it continues its inquiry on Article 2 of the
Protocol/Windsor Framework and how rights in Northern Ireland are
being protected following the UK's exit from the European Union.

Withdrawal) at Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission

Officer at Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission
The evidence session will take place in Committee Room 3,
Palace of Westminster and will be available to watch live from
10.45 or online at Parliamentlive.TV
The Committee has launched a call for written evidence
inviting individuals and organisations to submit written
submissions by 5pm on Thursday 9 July.
It is particularly keen to hear from a diverse group of
witnesses, including individuals and organisations that have not
previously provided evidence to the Committee.
Possible questions topics include:
- The Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission's role in
protecting the provisions on human rights in the Belfast/ Good
Friday Agreement prior to Brexit.
- The scope of Article 2, including in the context of the
Dillon judgment in the Supreme Court.
- Resolving breaches of Article 2
- The effectiveness of Article 2 WF in ensuring the protection
of rights following the UK's exit from the European Union
