Minister for Safeguarding and Violence Against Women and Girls to appear before Lords Committee

On Thursday 25 June at 10.40am, Natalie Fleet MP, Minister for Safeguarding and Violence against Women and Girls will appear before the Lords Domestic Abuse Act 2021 Committee in a session that will focus on the following themes:

• Whether the statutory definition of domestic abuse is working;
• Whether children are being recognised as victims in their own right;
• How to tackle the issue of tech abuse; and
• How the funding and commissioning landscape for domestic abuse service providers can be improved.

Appearing alongside the Minister will be:

• Gisela Carr, Deputy Director of the Interpersonal Abuse Unit, Home Office.

The session will be available to watch live or on demand at Parliament TV or can be attended in person in Committee Room 3, Palace of Westminster.
