FM comments on Scotland v Morocco match

First Minister John Swinney has said all of Scotland is right behind the national men's team as they take on Morocco tonight at the World Cup.

The side recently celebrated their first victory at a World Cup tournament since 1990, defeating Haiti in their opening group match.

Mr Swinney said:

What I'd say to Andy Robertson, to Steve Clark and to the Scotland national team is our warmest thanks and congratulations for getting to the World Cup in the first place.

Getting a win against Haiti in the first game has been a tremendous start to the World Cup campaign and we need to sustain that.

I hope the win against Haiti gives the team the foundations and the verve and the energy to win against Morocco tonight and I would just simply say to all of them, all of Scotland is right behind them.
