Lords defence industry inquiry hears from UK drone manufacturer

The House of Lords Industry and Regulators Committee continues its inquiry into the relationship between the Government and the defence industry on Tuesday 16 June 2026 by hearing from representatives of the drone manufacturer, Tekever.  

The session will begin at 11am and can be followed live or afterwards on Parliament TV or in person in Committee Room 2, Palace of Westminster.

Giving evidence will be:

• Stewart Pearce,
  Head of Training, Regulations and Assurance, Tekever.
  
  

Members are expected to ask questions on:

• cultural and practical changes required for the Government and industry to work in partnership;
• barriers to UK-based companies providing the necessary capacity to support the delivery of the UK's defence needs;
• experience of the Ministry of Defence procurement processes;
• Government action needed to provide greater stability in access to necessary supply chain inputs;
• the ability of the UK-based industry to supply sufficient drones over a sustained period in the event of war;
• regulation of the defence sector;
• how Tekever's relationship with the UK Government compares with relationships with governments of other countries.
