From 10:15 on
Tuesday 9 June the House of Lords Science and Technology
Committee will continue its inquiry into innovation in the NHS, with a
particular focus on personalised medicine and the use
of artificial intelligence.
Over two sessions
the Committee will explore the NHS's approach to
innovation
through the perspectives of clinical
academics and innovators.
The first session will explore the
findings of the 2024 NHS Innovation Ecosystem
Review, what the review concluded and whether
its recommendations have been
implemented. The Committee will also
hear from clinical academics working at
the interface
of cutting-edge research, innovation and NHS delivery. They
will discuss experiences of embedding innovation in the
NHS, the barriers encountered and what could be
improved.
