Prorogation - Wednesday, April 29

A Royal Commission (Prorogation) is expected today: any business scheduled after it has been received will not be proceeded with.

The Speaker will not adjourn the House until a Message has been received from the Lords Commissioners (if the Business of the House (Today) motion is agreed to).

At this stage it's too early to know how this will affect the business in the Commons. The Royal Commission has been put down for 1.15pm in the Lords.

Business could take place in the Commons up until then, which might include PMQs, but right now, we are not sure how things will proceed today.

For now, we have to assume that oral questions will take place until we know otherwise.

We will update the situation when we know more.
