Lords Numeracy for Life Committee focuses on adult education

The House of Lords Numeracy for Life Committee continues its inquiry on Thursday 19 March by taking evidence on adult numeracy education.

The session can be followed live or afterwards on Parliament TV or in person in Committee Room 2, Palace of Westminster from 10.50am.

Giving evidence will be:

  Senior Policy Manager, Association of Colleges;

Members are expected to ask questions on:

• the current provision for adult numeracy and its effectiveness;
• successful programmes established under the Multiply programme;
• barriers to adults accessing numeracy programmes;
• engagement with adult learning;
• drivers for adults taking numeracy courses;
• role of employers in helping employees improve their numeracy skills;
• recruitment and retention of adult numeracy teachers.
