Lords waste crime inquiry hears from Defra Secretary of State Emma Reynolds MP

The House of Lords Environment and Climate Change Committee revisits it waste crime inquiry on Wednesday 18 Marchby hearing from Emma Reynolds MP, Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

The session will take place from 10am. It can be followed live or afterwards on Parliament TV or in person in the Palace of Westminster (committee room 4a).

Questions from the committee will cover:

• the impact of mixed waste sites on environmental and human health, such as at Hoad's Wood (Kent), Kidlington (Oxfordshire) and Bickershaw (Wigan);
  
  
• Treasury rules in relation to the Environment Agency being able to redirect money to tackle illegal waste activity;
  
  
• Government measures to prevent waste crime;
  
  
• the Environment Agency's performance on waste crime;
  
  
• who is responsible for cleaning up illegal waste crime.
