Appointment of Chair of the Office for Legal Complaints: Report publication following pre-appointment hearing

The Justice Committee has published its report following the pre-appointment hearing on Wednesday, 11 March with Richard Blakeway, the preferred candidate for Chair of the Office for Legal Complaints (OLC).

The cross-party committee of MPs, chaired by Labour MP Andy Slaughter, concludes that Mr Blakeway meets the criteria for the position and endorses his appointment.

The role of Chair leads the OLC Board in administering the Legal Ombudsman (LeO) scheme for complaints about legal service in England and Wales.
