The UK will rapidly deploy four additional Typhoon jets to Qatar to
support regional defensive operations. Overnight, a British
Counter-Uncrewed Aerial Systems unit took down further drones in
Iraqi airspace that were heading towards Coalition forces. The
Defence Secretary has met with the Cypriot Defence Minister to
discuss how the UK is reinforcing air defences. Defence Ministers

- The UK will rapidly deploy four additional Typhoon jets to
Qatar to support regional defensive operations.

- RAF F-35B and Typhoon fighter jets, supported by Voyager
air-to-air refuelling, flew further defensive sorties overnight,
including over Qatar and Jordan.
- Across the UK's bases in Cyprus, 400 additional UK personnel
are supporting air defence activities.
- British counter-drone specialists who have worked closely
with Ukrainian experts have deployed to the region to work with
partners on counter-drone and defensive capabilities.
