Written statement (Wales) on Chair to Aneurin Bevan University Health Board: preferred Ministerial candidate selection - Feb 13

Jeremy Miles, Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care: Following an open public appointment process and in accordance with the Governance Code on Public Appointments, I am delighted to announce that I have selected Councillor Andrew Morgan, leader of Rhondda Cynon Taf Council as my preferred candidate for the role of Chair of Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. 

This appointment is subject to pre-appointment scrutiny by the Senedd which is taking place on the 26 February 2026. Following the pre-appointment hearing, I will make my final decision on the appointment and update members accordingly.
