Overseas Territories to give evidence to Lords committee on joint declaration

Tomorrow the House of Lords Constitution Committee will hear from five UK Overseas Territories as part of its inquiry reviewing the UK – Overseas Territories Joint Declaration.  

Giving evidence will be: 

• Blondel Cluff CBE, Overseas Representative of the Government of Anguilla  

• Kei-Retta Farrel, UK Representative of the Government of Montserrat  

• The Premier, the Hon Charles Washington Misick OBE, Government of the Turks and Caicos Islands 

• The Premier, the Hon Dr Natalio D. Wheatley, Government of the British Virgin Islands  

• The Attorney General, the Hon Kim Wilkerson JP, Government of Bermuda  

Themes the session is likely to cover include: 

• The key issues facing the respective territories 

• The impact of the agreement of the joint declaration and the extent to which commitments have been delivered 

• Engagement with the UK Government, at both ministerial and official level, and any challenges faced.
