Lords drought inquiry concludes by hearing from Minister for Water and Flooding

The House of Lords Environment and Climate Change Committee concludes its inquiry into drought preparedness in England by hearing from Emma Hardy MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State (Minister for Water and Flooding), Defra.

The session will take place on Wednesday 11 February from 10am. It can be followed live or afterwards on Parliament TVor in person in the Palace of Westminster (committee room 4).

Also giving evidence will be Martin Woolhead, Deputy Director for Water Infrastructure Delivery, Defra.

Questions from the committee will cover the following areas:

• cross-departmental coordination;
• prioritisation during severe drought;
• drought impacts and monitoring;
• leakage and pricing;
• water supply infrastructure;
• planning for water and water reuse;
• water White Paper reforms.
