Round-up of recent stakeholder changes and appointments

The following appointments and changes have been made since December 10

Government

• Nick Timothy was appointed as Shadow Justice Secretary on January 15, replacing Robert Jenrick who defected to Reform UK
• Josh Simons appointed as Minister for Digital Reform

Reform UK

• In addition to Robert Jenrick, Conservative MP Andrew Rosindell has joined Reform UK

House of Commons

• Andrew Gwynne, Independent MP for Gorton and Denton, announced his intention to stand down as an MP, citing ill health, paving the way for a possible return to the Commons by Andy Burnham

Select Committees

• Administration - Marie Goldman replaced Max Wilkinson
• Finance - Martin Wrigley replaced James MacCleary

Wales

• James Evans MS has been expelled from the Welsh Conservatives and sacked as Shadow Cabinet Secretary for Health, Social Care and the Armed Forces

Northern Ireland

• Gareth Wilson has been co-opted as DUP MLA for Newry and Armagh following the retirement of William Irwin

Advisers

• Catherine Howard has resigned as Chancellor Rachel Reeves' infrastructure and planning adviser
