The Mayor's draft consolidated budget was published on 15 January
2026 and included total Greater London Authority (GLA) Group
budgeted expenditure for 2026-27 of £22.7
billion.[1]
This is an increase of £287m from the Mayor's consultation budget
in December, which was £22.4 billion.[2]
The London Assembly Budget and Performance
Committee scrutinises the Mayor's budget process
andon Monday, the Committee
will speak to the Mayor of London about his draft consolidated
budget for 2026-27, where the additional money has come from, and
how it will be spent for Londoners.
The Committee will question the Mayor on a
number of key topics, including changes to the budget, Transport
for London fares, Met officer numbers and the Oxford Street
development plans.
