FCDO to be quizzed on UK – Overseas Territories Joint Declaration

The House of Lords Constitution Committee will be speaking to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office as part of its inquiry reviewing the UK – Overseas Territories Joint Declaration. 

Giving evidence will be: 

• Stephen Doughty MP, Minister of State for Europe, North America and Overseas Territories at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office  

• Robbie Bulloch, Director for Overseas Territories and Polar at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office 

Themes the session is likely to cover include: 

• Engagement mechanisms with the UK Overseas Territories 

• Coordination of engagement with the Overseas Territories across UK Government departments 

• Progress of the commitments made in the 2023 joint declaration 

• Policy and strategy for the Overseas Territories and whether the approach has changed.
