Labour accuses SNP of health waste, with almost £2 billion spent on temporary nurses and midwives in Scotland

The SNP have been accused of “failing Scotland's health service” as it emerged that nearly £2 billion has been spent on agency and bank nurses and midwives over the last five years. Figures highlighted by Scottish Labour shows that a bill of £1,904,286,884.04 has been racked up between April 2020 and March 2025.
