Rendall & Rittner (1 July 2025)
The Committee correspondence follows up on sector concerns raised
at an evidence session on
property management companies on Tuesday 17 June. Martin
King, Managing Director, FirstPort was part of a panel of
witnesses questioned by the HCLG Committee on 17 June.
Florence Eshalomi, Chair of the Housing,
Communities and Local Government (HCLG) Committee said:
“At the Committee's recent evidence session examining property
management companies, we heard a range of concerns about how the
sector is responding to reports around excessive service charges,
poor communication, and unresolved maintenance problems. We're
keen to find out more about how management agents provide
services to residents and what steps they take to ensure the fees
charged are justifiable.”
