On Monday 16 June, the Home-based Working
Committee continues its inquiry examining remote and hybrid
working as it hears evidence from witnesses including Zoom and
NHS Employers. The sessions will explore the effects of remote
and hybrid working on issues such as recruitment and retention,
working locations, cybersecurity, managing multiple working
patterns across organisations, productivity and staff wellbeing.
The first session will start at 2.15pm with the second
session at 3.15pm. Both can be watched live or on demand
at Parliament
TV or in person in Committee Room 3, Palace
of Westminster.
Giving evidence will be:
2.15pm
-
Danny Mortimer, Chief Executive, NHS
Employers; and
-
Dan Moczulski, Managing Director, e-Toro UK.
3.20pm
-
Drew , Head of Government
Relations (UK & Ireland), Zoom.
Questions may include:
- How does the NHS handle a variety of different working
arrangements, where some employees are remote, others hybrid, and
others on-site? Does this cause resentment or concerns between
different groups of employees?
- How can the productivity impact of remote and hybrid working
be measured, and would this be improved by the ability to link
employer and employee data?
- What technological risks does remote and hybrid working
bring, for example with respect to cybersecurity?
- How do you see remote and hybrid working changing over the
next three to five years, such as due to technological changes
such as AI, automation, and new approaches to collaboration?
- How do you see remote and hybrid affecting the
responsibilities you have towards your staff, for example with
respect to providing them equipment and considering their
wellbeing?
