Evidence Session: The UK-EU reset: rebuilding a strategic partnership in uncertain times

The Foreign Affairs Committee continues its inquiry into the UK-EU reset, hearing from experts on the current relationship between the United Kingdom and the European Union and the strategic challenges both face. The session will take place at 13.30 on Tuesday 6 May.  

The session will explore the prospect of cooperation between the UK and the EU on foreign policy, security and defence. Committee Members are likely to ask about the impact the new US Administration will have on the UK Government's ability to balance relations between the US and the EU. The session is likely to explore how the UK and the EU can best support Ukraine, and the potential for a defence industrial partnership.  

This session takes place ahead of a UK-EU summit in London on 19 May.
