Conservatives: Response to Rain Newton-Smith’s CBI speech

Greg Smith MP, Shadow Parliamentary Undersecretary for Business and Trade, said:

“The boss of Britain's largest business group has just confirmed what we knew all along.

“Labour's National Insurance jobs tax will stop businesses creating jobs, drive down wages, harm growth and lead to higher prices.

“After all of their hollow words and empty promises, business in this country can see loud and clear that Labour is not on their side, nor on the side of working people.”
