New gas power stations testament to the government’s failure to deliver a low carbon strategy - Prospect union

Prospect, a major energy trade union, has responded to comments by the Prime Minister and an expected speech by the Energy Secretary today, including the announce of new unabated gas power stations.

Sue Ferns, Prospect senior deputy general secretary, said:

"This is testament to the government’s failure to deliver a low carbon energy strategy.

"We’ve had plenty of announcements but no delivery plan.

"We need a clean industrial strategy, aligned with a plan to deliver good jobs and skills."
