Reporting on payment practices and performance regulations: final stage impact assessment

This review is published by the Department for Business and Trade and scrutinises existing prompt payment policy and sets out actions that government will take forward to improve payment times across the UK.

We have focused on 4 key areas where we believe targeted policy measures can make an improvement to UK payment times:

• increasing transparency
• a more active enforcement approach
• better access to information
• instilling a stronger payment culture

As part of the prompt payment and cash flow review, we launched a public consultation of the payment practices reporting regulations.
