Rachel Hopkins comments on Ministerial Statement referencing the delivery of Veteran ID cards

Rachel Hopkins MP, Labour’s Shadow Veterans Minister, responding to Johnny Mercer’s Ministerial Statement referencing the delivery of Veteran ID cards, said: 

“Despite these warm words, the reality is that over 1.5 million veterans across the UK do not have the Veteran ID card they were promised, which is supposed to ensure quicker access to important services like healthcare.

“The Conservatives like to talk up their support for our forces, but it’s clear that they are failing to deliver on their promises. 

“It seems the Minister is trying to pull the wool over veterans’ eyes.”
