Gill Furniss Responds to Pension Credit Statistics showing that up to 880,000 families are still missing out

Gill Furniss MP, Labour’s Shadow Minister for Pensions, responding to Pension Credit Statistics showing that up to 880,000 families are still missing out, said:

“In the heart of a cost of living crisis, millions of pensioners will be worrying about whether they can afford to put the heating on whilst still putting food on the table. But today’s figures shockingly reveal that up to 880,000 families are still missing out on the Pension Credit that they are entitled to.

With Winter fast approaching, the Government needs to urgently get a grip of this issue and ensure that this vital lifeline reaches those eligible to receive it.”
