Yvette Cooper comments on CST figures showing a steep rise in antisemitic incidents

Yvette Cooper MP, Labour’s Shadow Home Secretary, commenting on figures from the Community Security Trust showing a steep rise in antisemitic incidents, said:

“These reports of antisemitic abuse, threats, damage and assaults are truly appalling. British Jews have a right to feel safe and secure and not to be subjected to anti-Jewish racism.

“Police action to pursue criminal offences and to provide extra assistance for Jewish communities has our full support. We will work with the police, the Community Security Trust and the Government so Jewish communities in Britain are protected and feel safe. There is no place in Britain for antisemitic hate.”
