Hundreds of business leaders will today [MONDAY] gather for the Business Forum at Labour’s Annual Conference, with guests being addressed by Keir Starmer, Rachel Reeves and Jonathan Reynolds. This will be the largest ever business gathering at Labour Conference, with the party needing to double capacity for the event, and hundreds still on the waiting list to attend. Senior business leaders, including hundreds of FTSE 100 CEO’s from a range of companies such as Octopus, Microsoft and Ikea will be in attendance. The popularity of today's event and interest in the whole party conference agenda stands testament to Labour becoming the undisputed party of business with the highest ever number of exhibitors. Under Keir Starmer's leadership, Labour has worked hard to revitalise its relationship with the business community and restate its position as a pro-business, pro-worker party. As set out in the modern Industrial Strategy launched by Reynolds at last year's conference, the Party is committed to working in partnership with business to deliver its mission the UK to have the highest sustained growth in the G7. Jonathan Reynolds MP, Labour’s Shadow Business Secretary, will say, “Labour is now the undisputed party of business. While the Conservatives have crashed the economy, Labour has worked hard to restore our economic credibility and put forward a policy platform that will get our economy back on track. “While the Conservatives back pedal on the promises made to British Industry, Labour is outlining our serious plans for growth, sorting out the problems holding British business back.” Ends Notes A record high 300 CEO’s and Chairs have registered for Labour’s Annual Conference including:
