Which? response to supermarkets being questioned about profiteering by MPs

Sue Davies, Which? Head of Food Policy, said:

“Supermarkets have offered no new solutions to rising food prices despite having the power to help customers who are being hammered with wave after wave of soaring costs. Which? research shows how this is having a disastrous impact on people's mental and physical health, as well as on their finances.

“The Prime Minister was right to put the focus on supermarkets as he looks for ways to help with the cost of living crisis. The government must urgently get supermarkets to commit to stocking essential budget ranges in all their stores, as well as make pricing much clearer so shoppers can compare prices and find the best value products.”
