Bridget Phillipson responds to a survey showing one in three young teachers say their housing situation has affected their ability to do their job

Bridget Phillipson MP, Labour's Shadow Education Secretary, responding to a survey showing one in three young teachers say their housing situation has affected their ability to do their job, said: 

“Teachers are voting with their feet after 13 years of Conservative mismanagement and children’s learning is paying the price. 

“That’s why Labour will recruit thousands more teachers to tackle workloads, funded by ending private schools tax breaks, and deliver more affordable and social homes to give families greater security.”
