Prime Minister calls for calm in Israel

During Prime Minister’s Questions in the Commons today, Kim Johnson (Labour, Liverpool Riverside) asked: “Since the election of the fascist Israeli government in December, there have been an increase in human rights violations against Palestinian civilians including children.” She asked the Prime Minister how the government would be challenging what Amnesty and other organisations was calling “an apartheid state.”

Rishi Sunk replied: “The honourable lady failed to mention the horrific attacks on civilians inside Israel.” It was important to remain calm and urge all sides to strive for peace.
