His Mission Zero review identified the critical role that
technologies such as hydrogen, fusion, and carbon capture and
storage will have in achieving net zero, and these all will
require agile regulatory approaches so that they can be deployed
rapidly and safely in the UK. will bring insights from his
review to Sir Patrick Vallance’s work.
As set out at the Autumn Statement, the Government Chief
Scientific Adviser and National Technology Adviser, Sir , is reviewing existing
rules to develop a pro-innovation regulatory approach that allows
the UK to fulfil its ambition to become a science superpower and
world leader in key growth sectors, including green industries.
