Lucy Powell reacts to the news that the Commissioner for Public Appointments will probe BBC Chair appointment process

Lucy Powell MP, Labour’s Shadow Culture Secretary, commenting on the news that the Commissioner for Public Appointments has opened an investigation to review the appointment process for the Chair of the BBC following her call for a probe, said:  

“The BBC Chair, Number 10 and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport clearly have questions to answer.

“This probe is welcome news and should shine a light on this appointments process and provide reassurance to the public.”
