Nick Thomas-Symonds responds to UK-Ukraine digital trade agreement

Nick Thomas-Symonds, Labour's Shadow International Trade Secretary, responding to news that the UK and Ukraine will sign a digital trade agreement in London on Wednesday, said: 

“As Russia’s appalling invasion of Ukraine continues it is welcome that this deal has been signed.

“Enhancing our trading relationship helps support Ukraine’s economy both in the midst of this illegal war and once Ukraine has prevailed.

“The Government must ensure they maintain maximum pressure on Russia and provide all possible support to Ukraine, including by helping businesses trying to make this deal work.”
