Nick Thomas Symonds comments on the government failure to secure trade deals

Nick Thomas Symonds, Labour’s Shadow Secretary of State for International Trade commenting on the government failure to secure trade deals said:

“When it comes to trade deals it’s always jam tomorrow with the Tories. Yet again the Prime Minister is promising new deals he can’t deliver, just like he did with the US deal. 

“The truth is the Conservatives aren’t even close to delivering their promised 80% of trade covered by free trade deals by the end of this year, and British businesses and customers are paying the price.

“This zombie government and the continuity candidates vying to be PM have no real plans to cut bills. Our fully costed, practical plan to freeze energy bills this winter, and fix our energy security for the future shows that only Labour offers the fresh start that Britain needs.”
