Elizabeth Line opening welcomed by Campaign for Better Transport

Ahead of the opening of the new Elizabeth Line in London tomorrow (24 May), Norman Baker from Campaign for Better Transport, said: “Great news that the Elizabeth Line is finally going to be up and running, but it’s taken far too long and cost far too much money. We want to see more investment in new rail lines across the whole of the country, but the Government must get a better grip on its finances to ensure the public gets value for money and passengers aren’t left waiting years for the next train.”
