Labour responds to NHS data showing a record high of 6.4 million people are waiting for care

Wes Streeting MP, Labour’s Shadow Secretary of State for Health and Social Care,responding to today’s NHS data, showing a record high of 6.4 million people are waiting for NHS care, said:

“It’s unacceptable for patients to be left waiting so long, whether it’s for a GP appointment, an operation, or an ambulance.

“12 years of Conservative mismanagement has left our health service unable to provide the care that patients require. The longer we give the Conservatives, the longer patients wait.

“Labour will secure the staff, equipment, and modern technology needed to makdavid shawe our NHS fit for the future.”
