NAHT comments on Spring Statement

Paul Whiteman, general secretary of school leaders’ union NAHT, said: “It is extremely disappointing that the Chancellor has once again ignored the serious financial challenges facing schools within his spring statement. Like every household and business, schools are facing crippling rises in energy costs, to be funded from already stretched budgets. Every pound diverted to pay for increased energy bills is a pound that can’t be spent on children’s learning.”
