Committee launches survey of infrastructure operators

The Joint Committee on the National Security Strategy (JCNSS) has launched a survey of infrastructure operators to support its inquiry into critical national infrastructure (CNI) and climate adaptation. Climate change is predicted to result in an increase in extreme weather events such as flooding, droughts, wildfires and heatwaves, as well as rising sea levels.

This survey asks respondents, such as energy, water and telecoms companies, about their experience of and preparation for extreme weather events and climate change, as well as their views on Government support for CNI resilience.

Responses will help to inform the Committee’s inquiry and shape the final report. Operators wishing to share information in confidence should contact the Clerk of the Committee via jcnss@parliament.uk.

Respondents are also invited to share the survey with other infrastructure operators – the Committee would like to hear from as many operators as possible.
