second evidence session of its inquiry on the Road freight supply
chain.
Likely subjects for discussion in this session include:
- Driver retention, including pay, conditions, and facilities,
and steps the sector and Government could take concerning these
matters
- Driver recruitment, including apprenticeships, diversity, and
professional qualifications, and steps the sector and Government
could take concerning these matters
- Wider challenges facing the road freight supply chain, such
as changes to border procedures, infrastructure, and
decarbonisation
