DCMS Committee: Chair Comment on YCCC Report

The Chair has given this comment on Yorkshire County Cricket Club’s report into the investigation into complaints raised by Azeem Rafiq and related matters.  

DCMS Committee Chair Julian Knight MP said: 

“I can confirm that the DCMS Committee has received the report from Yorkshire County Cricket Club about its investigation into complaints brought by Azeem Rafiq. We will use the contents of the report to inform our hearing next week.

“Any questions about the report’s publication should be put to YCCC. We will not be commenting further in advance of the hearing.”

The DCMS Committee hearing will take place on Tuesday 16 November with further details of time and final witnesses to be announced.

In September the DCMS Committee called on Yorkshire County Cricket Club to immediately publish its report into allegations of racism.
